Bintulu is experiencing one of the worst floods in recent years. The disaster was caused by incessant heavy rainfall and a high tide today (January 29).
Several houses were reportedly submerged in the devastating floods, while heavy rains and rising water levels continue to wreak havoc across the region.
The floods have severely affected residential areas and forced many families to evacuate to higher ground or temporary relief centers (PPS).
Shocking videos and images circulating on social media show houses submerged and some structures collapsed due to flood waters.
In another post, a man shared a video of a crocodile seen in the same flooded area, further raising concerns about the dangers posed by the disaster.
